You don't have to be a singer to sing with us!

You love to sing, and want to make it a part of your life. You want to feel the joy of singing in rich harmonies with other people. You love the idea of expanding your artistry, and want to practice & challenge yourself.

No audition or prior experience required. Just bring your voice — and the willingness to show up and use it!

A Big Beautiful Noise is what we call "serious fun." :)
Your voice matters — and your commitment to showing up is what makes the group work!

Each season we meet weekly to learn uplifting music, build our vocal and musical skills, and work toward our signature concert and community gigs around Lyons and Boulder County. ABBN is a growing network of singers, and opportunities are always available for those who join our songbook community.

If weekly rehearsals don't fit your schedule or situation right now but you still want to sing in community events, reach out — we can provide alternative ways for you to sing with us!

By joining ABBN, you’ll develop your singing and musical skills —

01 — Singing in harmony confidently

You'll learn how harmony works from the inside — not just as a concept, but as something you feel in your body when the chord locks in.

02 — Reading music (even if you never have before!)

We make music theory accessible. You don't need to arrive knowing it — you'll leave understanding it!

03 — Finding and owning your singing voice

We work on vocal technique in the context of the group — breath, tone, range, and the confidence to actually be heard.

04 — Blending as an ensemble

The magic of choir isn't any one voice. It's learning to listen, match, and become part of something bigger than yourself!

Sing along with practice tracks & feel confident holding your part.

This is more than a choir. ABBN singers show up for rehearsal — and then they show up for each other. We are a community of people who genuinely love to be in the room together. Singers come back season after season not just for the music, but for the people, the laughter, the shared purpose.

Inside our member community, you'll find practice tracks, sheet music, announcements, and connection — everything you need to hold your part and feel prepared walking into every rehearsal.

Beyond the rehearsal room — we sing at coffee shops, outdoor events, and community gatherings around Lyons all season long. Because music doesn't belong only on a concert stage!

Who sings with us —

Lifelong singers and total beginners.
People who sang in high school and stopped for twenty years.
People who've never read a note of music.
People who’ve been singing and performing for decades.
No matter your experience level, we all have one thing in common: we love to sing, we love this community, and we believe that voices raised together do something that no single voice can do alone!

Our choir is a natural extension of the music-centered town of Lyons, CO.
